I have a passion for music and for what it can do for the mind. Before I started musical activities, I was a lost child with no purpose in life. Music gave me a direction to develop and it is my goal to inspire students in this way so they, too, may be found. I believe it has the power to connect people across cultures and throughout time, forming a wonderful community of passionate people. It opens new doors for students that they may have previously thought were closed.
I believe it is my responsibility as a music educator to utilize music to educate my students about the world. I use my courses to teach my students about teamwork and responsibility as well as fostering their development as whole individuals. I have a passion particularly for small ensembles. I think they are a fantastic way for students to learn how to work with their peers and share in something they have created. It is my goal to teach my students to be passionate, responsible human beings.
